Amber Oolong Tea 白毫烏龍茶
The Amber, or "White Tip,” Oolong is an island favorite in Taiwan due to its sweet flavor profile. During cultivation, the tea leaves are literally bitten by the tiny green Jacobiasca
formosana leafhopper, causing a release of aromatic compounds known as terpenes
which give this tea its signature honey aftertaste. The delicate flavor of this tea is a
testament to the attentive and thoughtful care required for its cultivation - capturing a
symbiotic dance that occurs for only 6-8 weeks during the summer season. Relying on
the tiny leafhopper thriving in the Camellia forest, the Amber Oolong is the emblem of
organic farming practices.
